Work permit approved in 9th circuit

9th circuit allows end of TPS immigration program

Approved Work Permit. Client’s case is pending at the 9th Circuit. Cancellation of Removal application was denied by IJ, appealed to BIA, and appealed to 9th Cir. I-765 application based on pending C/R approved. If you want to work in the U.S. temporarily as a nonimmigrant, under U.S. immigration law, you need a specific visa based on the type of work you will be doing. Most temporary worker categories require that your prospective employer or agent file a petition, which must be approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the United States before you can have an approved work permit. The consular officer will verify your petition approval through the Department of State’s Petition Information Management Service (PIMS) during your interview. In general, it takes about 6.7 months for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to process Form I-765. Previously, USCIS processed work permit applications within 6.7 months, but a growing backlog has caused additional delays. The cost for to file I-765 could increase significantly in 2023.
